Streamline your daily searches by configuring custom queries to take into account your choice of search engine, the resources you want to employ, and more. #Custom search #Configure query #Advanced search #Search #Query #Configure
Searchy gives you the opportunity to run advanced queries on multiple online resources without wasting any time. The utility helps you create custom presets that you can use to avoid typing the same text strings required to refine the results list again and again.
The Searchy capabilities rely on a simple concept: you get to organize your search filters by scope, so after everything is configured correctly, you can directly input keywords into the appropriate field to get the filtered results list in your default web browser.
When dealing with basic searches, your get to specify the search engine (Google or Bing), the search type (web, images, videos, or news), the query template, or the site filter.
If you opt for an advanced search, Searchy allows you to configure via a Scope Setup Wizard a custom search engine, but the entire procedure can be rather counter-intuitive, and the other filtering options are not included.
To help you stay organized, Searchy keeps your scopes grouped by type and organized into three different columns. Note that you can create as many groups as you want, and completely remove them from the main panel when you don’t use them anymore.
For your convenience, Searchy comes with a system wide hotkey that toggles the search panels visibility, which means that you get to use the configured search templates for your daily queries without going too much out of your way.
Searchy is designed for people that are constantly running queries on the same resources, hence either navigating to particular websites or typing additional keywords to filter the results list.
The Searchy utility helps you optimize the activity by using search templates that have to be configured only once. Note that Searchy just launches the query: the results list can be seen and navigated in your default web browser.
