PiPifier For Mac

macOS comes with the Picture In Picture mode that offers you the possibility to watch videos while continuing working. PiPifier is a Safari extension that allows you to do that with almost any HTML5 video.

Even through PiPifier completely integrates into the Safari and depends on the browser entirely, the software installs via the Mac App Store, just like a standalone application. However, the first time you try to run the app, you will receive detailed instructions on how to activate it.

Right off the bat, you need to launch the Safari browser, open the Preferences window, and navigate to the Extensions panel. Here, you must make sure the PiPifier add-on is enabled: this is imperative for using the service.

You can go to the View menu to activate the toolbar customization panel and quickly drag and drop the PiPifier button to the Safari address bar. As a result, the add-on will be accessible regardless of the website you are on.

Once the PiPifier add-on is up and running, just navigate to any website that uses HTML5 to stream videos, and press the status bar button to switch to the Picture in Picture mode in no time.

The video will be sent to a separate window that will stay on top of all others, allowing you to watch the stream and do other things at the same time. Note that you can control the video playback or deactivate the PiP mode just as smoothly.
