NetDrive For Mac

It has become commonplace to use cloud storage services to make our data accessible from any location, secure it against hardware failure and bypass local space limitations. However, accessing all of our accounts separately can be a hassle.

NetDrive aims to simplify this task by displaying them as volumes on your Mac and allowing you to browse their contents using Finder.

First of all, it should be mentioned that this version of NetDrive is not a stable release. Some bugs are to be expected.

Of note is the fact that we were unable to connect to a Dropbox account during our tests. While Google Drive and Google Cloud Storage presented no such issues, users may have problems with other services.

NetDrive supports a broad range of cloud storage services, including Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Amazon Cloud Drive, as well as FTP, WebDAV and NAS servers.

Once you connect to a server or cloud storage account, it will be displayed as a volume on your desktop, enabling you to browse its contents just as you would in the case of any other external drive.

It is possible to upload new files by placing them in the specified volume and track the progress of each transfer.

NetDrive can connect to certain remote locations as soon as the application is opened. If the app is also launched at login, you can have access to your cloud storage at all times.

Temporary copies of remote files are stored on your local drives to reduce access speed, and you can specify how much space each volume should be allotted.

NetDrive is a very helpful application that can make the task of managing multiple cloud storage services and remote servers a whole lot simpler. The app still needs a bit more polish, but this technical preview allows you to test out its features and see if it is the right solution for your needs.
