ProductHunt.com is an online service designed to facilitate the discovery of interesting new products. The website integrates a voting system and enables you to register using your Twitter account to be able to communicate with the other users on the platform.

Hunt X is an OS X application that aims to help you browse the ProductHunt website content, review and upvote products, or post comments without having to go through a web browser.

Within the Hunt X main window, you get to see the products that have been popular on the current day, or on the previous day, week, or month. Just click on the product name, and on the right side of the app’s window, you will be able to see the product’s official web page and the associated ProductHunt.com discussion.

Hunt X allows you to see how many comments and upvotes have been registered for the product, and on the product page, you can choose to get it yourself. At the same time, in the Discussion tab, you can upvote the product yourself, or express your opinion in a comment.

During our test, we have noticed that the download links are not automatically sent to your default web browser, and Hunt X does not seem capable of handling them. You can bypass the issue by using the contextual menu to copy the respective link to your clipboard and use a download manager of your choice.

To conclude, Hunt X can connect to the ProductHunt.com website and allow you to see the products that are or have been popular on the website in the past. Moreover, you get to see the official website for each item, read what others have to say about it, or even share your opinions.
