Horus News Reader is a user-oriented and practical news reader application for your Mac that comes with a well-designed interface and support numerous websites, podcasts and videopodcasts.

From Horus News Reader’s main window you have quick and easy access to all your subscriptions. What is more, you can use different gestures on your MacBook’s trackpad, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad to browse through your categories either horizontally or vertically.

The vertical scroll helps your navigate through all available news from the selected category while the horizontal scroll allows you to refresh the entire list and grab more news from all your subscriptions.

If you want to add a new feed you just have to click on the “Plus” button, access its menu and type in or paste your link or search term. Horus News Reader helps you find the desired subscription even without having the RSS web address.

On top of that, you can organize and group your feeds using various color tags and custom titles. The sidebar helps you view all your subscriptions but, you can access the Settings menu if you want to rearrange your list, change the tag color and tile.

Horus News Reader comes with three themes between which you can easily choose from the Settings menu. You can go for the Vibrant Black, Champagne or Leather theme.

You can keep track of all read feeds thanks to the mark system that allows you to gray out the news that you already viewed. Moreover, you can use Horus News Reader to subscribe to numerous podcasts and videopocasts. However, you cannot play the media file directly from within the app. By pressing the “Play” Button, you will be redirected to the appropriate webpage.
