Constantly checking your email can prove to be rather disruptive while organizing messages into folders does not guarantee that you will always manage to keep track of them.

Hiri is an email client that works with Office 365 and Exchange accounts and helps you transform messages into tasks for your team or schedule any action that needs to be performed. The app aims to improve both your sorting methods and help you communicate more efficiently.

Worth mentioning is that Hiri has been designed specifically with the Microsoft email system in mind, so you will not be able to use it with accounts hosted by other email services.

Once you connect to an Office 365 or Exchange account, the app will sync to your local machine the last three months of email communications (you get to expand the period via the Settings panel), so you can start sorting emails straight away. The app also enables you to see the account’s folders and create and schedule new tasks.

The Hiri main window is organized into multiple tabs, so you can review all the contacts associated with the account, or switch to the Dashboard where you get to see upcoming events, your communication score, or active invites.

Instead of making you organize emails into folders, Hiri makes you decide if a certain message requires you to perform an action, or only contains information. In the first case, the next step is to add the item to your tasks list and schedule the event in the calendar.

From the Hiri Settings panel, you can decide if you want the app to operate in the Unified Inbox or Zero Inbox mode. The first will place all messages in a single view and use different color labels depending on the item’s type (actionable or FYI).

On the other hand, the Zero Inbox mode simply removes the messages from the list once you have assigned them to a particular category. Note that Hiri is able to work with a single account at a time.

Hiri brings under the same roof email and task management tools in an attempt to make it easier both to go through your messages and keep track of everything you need to do in connection to those emails.

Hiri will check for new messages only once every 30 minutes, which means that you get to work on your projects without getting distracted once every few minutes.
