GigJam For Mac

GigJam is a Microsoft product that helps you share information with others and will most likely be included in the Office 365 collection. The app is account based, and can work either with your Google or Microsoft credentials.

GigJam comes with a resizable window, but you will soon realize that is best if you use it in full-screen mode. The utility automatically starts a new gig on launch, and you will be able to add cards in order to have access to documents or photos.

Worth mentioning is that GigJam comes with predefined cards that help you connect to certain online services, such as Wunderlist, or you can choose to integrate with cloud storage solutions.

It seems that GigJam directly links to your files or services and does not actively store any information. In fact, if you log out from your GigJam account from some reason, you need to provide the credentials for the third party accounts again when you log back in.

Each card included in your GigJam workspace can be shared with other contacts that use the service. Note that the target contact needs to have GigJam installed on their computer or mobile device.

GigJam is able to work with most file formats supported by Microsoft Office, and you get to choose the parts that you want to share or hide. During our tests, we have noticed that GigJam does not detect paragraphs in particular file formats, such as PDF or PDF: in these cases, you have to hide the entire slide or page.

You get to manage the permissions for the document sharing any time you like and switch from the "See with me" to the "Work with me" mode. Of course, you also get to remove the sharing option altogether. Moreover, each user can also add notes to the card.

Bottom line, GigJam offers you a beautifully designed space where you can bring together the files or services relevant for an individual gig and quickly share with others only the parts you choose.

GigJam eliminates the need to edit documents or upload files to third party services: you get to review the content in real time, mark the parts that should be left out, and allow other users to see the information, without actually transferring the files.
