Debookee Tools offers you the possibility to keep a close eye on your Wi-Fi connection without interrupting your workflow in any way.

The Debookee Tools app can reside in the status bar and display details about the current network, or you can have it run in the background and rely only upon the Notification Center messages.

Upon launch, Debookee Tools will place a small icon in your status bar and start monitoring the situation of your Airport Wi-Fi connection. The utility can detect if the controller is turned off while also being able to extract information if there is an active connection.

Via the Debookee Tools menu, you can choose to see the SSID and channel information for the current W-Fi connection right in the status bar: just make sure the appropriate entries are selected.

Worth mentioning is that Debookee Tools allows you to disable all the status bar icons, and you can configure it to be launched automatically at login. As a result, you can use the application as a background service and receive status reports only through the notification messages.

Within the Debookee Tools Notification Center alerts you get to see the SSID, the security protocol used, the channel frequency, the IP address and the BSSID. Nonetheless, you can also see if you have disconnected, if the channel has changed, and more.
