DPHOTO For Mac

DPHOTO is an online service that enables you to store your photos and videos in the Cloud, keep them organized into albums, and share the content with family and friends, or make it public.

The DPHOTO Mac application offers you the possibility to send files to the DPHOTO servers via the Share menu, without having to deal with complex a setup.

The DPHOTO application comes with two separate components: a status bar menu that can help you track the transfers and access the albums and a Share Extension that can be accessed through the OS X Share menu.

To activate it, you must launch the System Preferences, navigate to the Extensions panel, and tick the box associated with the DPHOTO extension in the Share Menu tab.

Keep in mind that you can rearrange your extensions with drag and drop movements. It is advisable to bring the DPHOTO entry to the top of the menu if you plan to use it frequently.

Whenever you want to send a file to the DPHOTO servers, you are prompted for the name of the target collection. Optionally you can add a title and tags to each entry. This way you can make sure that your photos remain organized.

Note that DPHOTO integrates batch processing capabilities: in certain apps you can select multiple files and send them to the Cloud at the same time.

Worth mentioning is that the DPHOTO menulet only helps you track the uploads and enables you to open the photos and videos collections in the browser: you don’t have the option to copy the links directly to your clipboard.

The DPHOTO web console offers you the possibility to view the collections in gallery mode, or you can launch the Director mode for additional management tools.
