To be able to browse the internet, your network service has to be configured to use a DNS (Domain Name System) server. These servers contain information about the IP addresses used by each website and help you get to the respective pages.

DNS Setter is a small utility that can be used to change the DNS server you are currently using in an attempt to bypass issues or improve the browsing speed. Note that this action can be performed via the OS X System Preferences, but you need to find the public DNS servers on your own.

Whenever you select any of these servers, DNS Setter will automatically populate the Primary and Secondary DNS server fields, so all you have to do is press the Apply button and the app will make the necessary adjustments.

Worth mentioning is that DNS Setter integrates a DNS Providers management panel where you can add or remove DNS servers, so you can tweak the list to include your favorite DNS services.
