Citrio For Mac

Citrio is a well-designed browser that comes with built-in BitTorrent and proxy client, as well as a download accelerator.

Citrio comes with a simple and unobtrusive user interface that makes it easy for you to focus on the loaded webpages and make the most out of your desktop space.

Thanks to the built-in BitTorrent client, you can easily download various torrent files and magnet links that you can effortlessly manage directly from within Citrio. On top of that, Citrio features a proxy widget that helps you manage all your proxies and enable the one you want to use.

Moreover, Citrio offers you the option to download web clips using the Video Saver which is capable to automatically detect videos on a page. Unfortunately, Citrio’s Video Saver failed to detect YouTube videos that were played from within a playlist, a fact that rendered the feature useless.

We were also disappointed by built-in downloader that also failed to download torrents from various sources. Although the torrent file was downloaded and loaded in the BitTorrent client, Citrio could not seek seeders nor download the contents.

However, if you intend to use Citrio as simple web browser for every day web browsing, file download and occasional use of proxies, then Citrio might live up to your expectations. More demanding users will be dissatisfied by downloading capabilities of the app.

On the bright side, Citrio is build on the Chromium project and, as a result, borrows numerous tools and features from the one source project. Between them we could mention the built-in task manager, handy developer tools and the JavaScript Console.

In conclusion, Citrio is an easy-to-use web browser which features handy tools and features that, unfortunately, require some improvements and bug fixes in order to function properly.
