Multi-highlight For Mac

Multi-highlight is a Chrome extension designed to help you find certain keywords on any webpage. The add-on allows you to input the terms manually, yet assigns a color label to each word automatically.

To install the Multi-highlight extension, you need to navigate to the appropriate Chrome Store entry in the host application and press the “Add to Chrome” button present on the page. The add-on’s icon will be automatically placed next to the address bar.

Note that to start using the Multi-highlight capabilities, you must first open the add-on panel and input the list of keywords you want to find on the page. You can work with multiple items at the same time as long as space separates the terms.

By default, Multi-highlight will automatically start working on each new web page, but keep in mind that via the extension’s panel you can disable its functionality. However, the change will be global and will apply on each page on refresh.

As soon as you input a term in the Multi-highlight panel, the extension highlights all the occurrences of that particular word in the currently active web page. To make it easier to distinguish between different terms, Multi-highlight will use a different color label in each case.

Keep in mind that the Multi-highlight extension does not integrate any customization options, even though the developer has announced it will include some in the future. Still, you can set a hotkey to toggle the Multi-highlight panel via the Chrome Keyboard Shortcuts panel.

Multi-highlight is a great tool to have around if you need to find multiple keywords at the same time. The Chrome extension proves to be particularly useful when reading long articles.
