BriefTube is an instant video summarizing service that offers you the possibility to review all the topics discussed in a video and quickly jump to the parts that interest you.

The service comes with a companion Chrome extension that enables you to review the video outline, to search for particular terms, or to see the commonly used words in the video.

To start using the BriefTube service, you nee to navigate to the extension’s entry in the Chrome Store via the host application and press the “Add to Chrome” button present on the page.

The next step is to sign up for an account free of charge: even though there is the option to connect using your Facebook credentials, the app is still under development, and you need to register for an account on the project page.

Note that you can try the BriefTube service for seven days, and then opt for one of the available subscription plans to use it past the trial period.

The BriefTube icon is placed next to the address bar and instantly lets you know if the current page contains a supported video by becoming colorized. Otherwise, the BriefTube icon will remain grayed out.
