Wing Helper For Mac

Developed for RC plane modelers, Wing Helper is a 3D CAD editor that offers you the possibility to work on custom designs, so you don’t have to rely on ready made plans when creating new models.

Wing Helper comes with a collection of built-in airfoils, but you can also import new data by using the DAT or COR file formats. Your projects can be saved using the app’s proprietary file format, or you can export the model using the DXF format.

Within the Wing Helper main window, you get to work on the wings design for your future model plane: you get to easily create new wing panels and get access to an extensive number of customization options.

The Wing Helper app allows you to adjust the panel length, root and tip chord, sweep, root and tip twist, or dihedral. You get to select the airfoil you want to use or decide if you want to align ribs.

The panels configuration window also allows you to modify the ribs number and thickness, provides control over the spars, leading and trailing edge, and enables you to decide which type of sheeting you want to use.

Within the Wing Helper main window, you get to visualize the design from various angles by moving the image around with drag and drop actions. For your convenience, the app comes with a collection of view presets that enable you to switch to a particular mode faster.

You get to toggle the visibility for different elements, such as the ribs, spars, sheeting, trailing or leading edges, axes or rib combs. The same area allows you to adjust the model’s transparency level.

Wing Helper brings to the table 3D CAD capabilities while focusing on the tools and resources you need when creating new model planes.

At the moment, the utility allows you to work only on the wings design, but future plans include the possibility to experiment with the empennage, fuselage, and so on.
