Style For Mac

Style is an image processor that helps you give an artistic look to your images and videos by relying on predefined models. Just load the file you want to process, select the model you want to apply, and Style takes care of the rest.

To start using the Style app, just drag and drop the image or video file you want to work with on top of the app’s main window. The utility will generate a thumbnail for the content, and you get to choose the model you want to apply.

Style comes with numerous presets: candy, ceremony, composition, cubist, edtaonisi, es_brutal, hundertwasser, kanagawa, kandinsky, seurat, or starrynight. Note that you can choose one of them, or decide to run all the models at the same time.

The processing time depends on the image size, but you will receive an alert via the Notification Center when the task is complete.

During our tests, on a 2GHz Intel Core i7 Mac mini Server with 8GB or RAM, the Style app did not require too many resources when applying presets, yet the system performance lagged and the Mac seemed to get unresponsive at times. All issues resolved instantly as soon as Style stopped the processing.

Worth mentioning is that Style does not feature any customization option neither for the processing models nor for adjusting the app’s behavior. The utility will automatically save all the output images as PNG files in the Pictures directory, and you cannot change the format or the output location.

However, within the Preferences window, you can choose to remove the watermark from the output images (even though the buy button does not seem to work, the setting can be activated so you can produce images that are not watermarked).

Style offers you the possibility to transform any image or recording into art pieces by applying some of the built-in models: the entire procedure is as streamlined as possible, and the user does not have to deal with any configurations.

Note that you can apply multiple models consecutively, or simply choose to use all of them at the same time. The Style app automatically exports the results to PNG image files or the MOV video standard.
