SlideTop For Mac

SlideTop is an image viewer that aims to integrate seamlessly with your desktop and display photo slideshows without interfering with your work.

The app can place image viewers in each corner of your screen, uses any folder as the source for the slideshows, and periodically refreshes the pictures.

The concept behind the SlideTop application is related to the fact that we take so many photos, yet we rarely take the time to look at them. SlideTop can browse through your old image folders and show you photographs that you forgot you ever had.

The SlideTop slideshow windows go on top of your wallpaper, yet underneath the desktop icons, so your workflow should not be affected in any way. You get to continue your work and simply stumble upon a new photo from time to time.

SlideTop comes with a status bar menulet that enables you to access its Preferences window and customize its behavior. Here you get to specify which windows you want to activate (SlideTop can place a slideshow panel in each corner of your screen), the source folder in each case, and the refresh rate.

This way, you can place different photo collections on your screen and browse through them without actively interacting with the application. In fact, SlideTop can automatically launch at startup, so after the initial setup, it does not need any further user interaction.

SlideTop brings an interesting concept to the table and can help you go through large photo collections with no effort.

However, the application is quite simple: you don’t have the possibility to change the slideshow window design or its size, you cannot use more than 4 panels, and you cannot change their location on the screen.
