PicSketch For Mac

One of the ways to give a more “artistic” look to your own photos is to apply filters that transform the photograph into pencil sketches: this way, you create the appearance of a handmade artwork in a matter of seconds.

PicSketch is proposing over 20 different image filters designed to achieve this type of result in no time. Due to its stylish and intuitive user interface, working with PicSketch is extremely straightforward.

The PicSketch design is very compact: all the available tools and functions are available in the app’s main window. Simply import the image you want to process via a simple drag and drop and you will be able to instantly preview the effects of the classic filter in the PicSketch preview area.

The minimalist toolbar placed on to bottom of the main window includes buttons for basic functions (open image, zoom in / out, fit to screen, crop, preview the original image or save), while a panel situated on the right side of the main window provides access to the presets and background patterns.

PicSketch comes with a classic sketch filter which is automatically applied to your image, but the app also includes a couple of customization options: you can adjust the pen size and color, apply moisture effects, colorize the image, or modify the brightness and contract levels.

Moreover, PicSketch also includes a collection of other presets that can be applied to your image (you get to adjust the alpha, brightness and contrast levels to personalize the results). In both cases you also get to use one of the 18 different background patterns.

PicSketch proposes a quick solution for giving amazing sketch effects to your photographs without having to deal with complex tools.

Of course, the app has its limitations: you cannot process multiple images at the same time and you cannot use a blank / color background when working with presets or import your own.

As always, keep in mind that the quality of the final product whenever you are using image processors depends greatly on the quality of the initial photo.
