If you are an amateur photographer and you want to enhance your pictures in order to bring out the best of your photos, then PicLight is the application that promises to help you out. PicLight is a simple and user-friendly application that enables you to apply a wide variety of lighting photo effects on your favorite pictures.

From PicLight’s intuitive interface you have quick and easy access to over 170 effects that are grouped into four different categories as follows: Montage, Light, Glow and Texture. PicLight offers more than 25 different image filters and well over 18 easy-to-use editing tools.

You can easily drag and drop the photo you want to edit onto PicLight’s main window and browse through all lighting effects that includes 40 Montage, 55 Light, 45 Glow and 30 Texture effects by simply selecting the desired tab. On top of that you can use four different blending modes such as Screen, Overlay, Lighter and Color Dodge.

What is more, PicLight offers basic image editing tools that are available in the Quick Fixes side panel. Thus, you can crop, rotate, flip or mirror your photo, adjust the saturation, hue, exposure, contrast, brightness, shadows and highlights. The crop tool offers 7 preset ratios that you can change and customize according to your needs and preferences.

As mentioned earlier, PicLight comes with 25 image filters that you can apply directly on your photo without other adjustments. You can even combine the image filters with the given lighting effects and create one of a kind photo effects.

By using the Compare or Quick Compare function, you can always compare the original photo with the obtained image before saving, sharing or exporting your new image.

When you are happy with your final photo, you can access the Share slide menu and send your picture to iPhoto’s library, set it as your desktop wallpaper or share it via Email, Flickr or Facebook with just a few mouse clicks.
