Viewing photos that have not been optimized for iPhone or iPad displays is not always the best choice. PhotoEnhancer is a minimalist application that offers you the possibility to change the picture’s autobalance and light before sending them to your iOS device.

PhotoEnhancer will automatically resize the image to match the iPhone’s (640x480) or iPad’s (1024x748) resolutions. The app is also able to process multiple photos at the same time.

Working with PhotoEnhancer is quite simple: drag and drop the file you wan to process on top of the main window or press the Batch button to import multiple photos.

Note that when opening a folder with the batch function, PhotoEnhancer automatically processes all the image files included in that folder and places the results in a folder of your choice.

When dealing with a single picture, the next step is to specify the target host: iPad or iPod. The application allows you to preview the image in the main window and you may also choose to preview the transformation effect in real time.

However, you should disable the “ Show visual transformation” function and use image files that are not too large, both in terms or resolution and file size, to prevent the application from crashing.

The result can be exported to popular image file formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG or TIFF. Moreover, for certain formats you can adjust the compression factor, the gamma level, the compression type and more.
