PCD Viewer For Mac

PCD Viewer is a straightforward Mac OS X application that enables you to open and preview PCD (Kodak Photo CD) images and to convert them to several common picture formats. It comes with an intuitive main window and a panel that lists PCD file details.

After launching PCD Viewer for the first time, you will be able to import any number of PCD files. The app even supports 4096 x 6144 64-Base files. Depending on their number and size, the app will take a while to finish importing the photos and will display them as thumbnails in a side-panel.

Clicking on a thumbnail displays the photo in a larger size in the main area of the window. You can select a different color profile and even operate the application on the entire screen thanks to the support for the Lion full-screen feature.

As mentioned before, PCD Viewer is capable of converting the imported Kodak Photo CD files to common formats, such as BMP, PNG, TIFF and JPEG. To complete this operation, you first need to click on the Export button on the bottom bar.

On the whole, PCD Viewer is an unsophisticated OS X app that can help you save time when handling PCD files. Besides allowing you to view them in different color profiles and full-screen mode, it lets you encode these files to more popular photo formats in just seconds.
