Time-saving utilities come in all shapes and forms, and Image Cropp is one of the apps that fit in this niche, with its built-in support for batch processing massive picture collections.
More precisely, with the help of Image Crop, you can rapidly crop, rename, and convert any amount of photos with a single mouse click.
Image Crop comes with a simple and elegant user interface, featuring a file list, two sidebars on the sides of the main window, and settings panel on the bottom left side of its main screen.
You can quickly add the images you need to process by clicking the top right "Add Images" button or by drag and dropping selections from any Finder window.
Sadly, ImageSize does not feature support for adding photos to the processing list via the Finder's contextual menu, which could be considered a drawback by users who are used to manipulate their files this way.
Cropping your images using Image Crop is as easy as clicking the "Crop" tab at the bottom of the window, choosing one of the pre-defined aspect ratios via the "Auto Crop" drop-down menu or creating a custom crop rule based on percents or pixels.
As mentioned above, Image Crop helps you to rename and convert your photos, and you can do that by first going to the "Output" tab and selecting an output image format and creating a renaming rule to be applied to all processed photos.
At the moment, Image Crop comes with support for the JPG, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, JPE, JP2, JPX, and BMP input and output picture formats, and will also allow you to set a custom output folder.
As an added advantage, the Image Crop can be configured to keep all your photos' EXIF information and creation dates, which is a must-have feature for photographers who need to manipulate large databases of photographs on a daily basis.
Another worth mentioning feature is Image Crop's support for saving custom settings profiles which will enable you to use the same set of settings for certain kinds of picture sets.
On the whole, Image Crop worked perfectly throughout our testing period and will most probably help you save considerable amounts of time that you would otherwise spend cropping, renaming or converting photos one at a time.
