ColorSlurp definitely ranks among the best, mainly thanks to its intuitive, well-thought-out design. It also offers plenty of features, of course, along with impressive customization possibilities.

We'll cover the app's features in a moment, but what impressed me the most was just how simple it is to pick and organize your colors. A convenient, customizable hotkey brings up the window or magnifier, and you can send the color code to the clipboard, in any format, with just a couple more clicks.

While the magnifier is active, you can hold Shift to slow its movement, for increased precision. If you hold down Cmd when picking a color, the app will show the format selector at the cursor's location, so you won't even have to bring up the main UI to send it to the clipboard.

Yes, ColorSlurp is very straightforward to use, but don't get the impression that it's a simple app. It supports just about every color format you could possibly need, it enables precise fine-tuning after picking a color, and it allows you to organize these into multiple collections.

Almost every aspect of the app's functionality can be customized, from the default shortcuts and preferred formats, all the way to the app's behavior when using the magnifier, and its Dock/menu bar visibility.

The free version can be used indefinitely, but it lacks some important features, such as support for most color formats and the Dark theme. Thankfully, you can get the full version with a single one-time purchase, and I feel it is worth the price.

As far as color pickers go, ColorSlurp definitely is up there with the best of them. It provides every feature you could realistically need, and its smart, user-friendly design should help you save lots of time if you work with colors on a regular basis.
