Image editing can be an exhausting process without the appropriate tools. ColorStrokes is a simple application focused on providing powerful color management capabilities.

ColorStrokes’s design resembles many other image editing applications out there: the main window provides quick access to most features, while a big chunk of the available space is reserved for the image content.

The ColorStrokes top toolbar includes a handful of buttons with self explanatory names: Import, Load, Share, Print on Canvas, Undo and Redo, Zoom In and Zoom Out, Fit to Screen and Actual Size. The Compare button allows you to see the processed and the original image at the same time.

In the right side of the main window, you can easily browse the available color management options. The features are organized in 3 panels: Native Color, Grayscale and ReColor.

When it comes to the native color, via slide bars, you can change the brightness level, the contrast, the blur amount, the saturation, the hue and the exposure level.

ColorStrokes allows you to adjust the background color, specifically the brightness, contrast, blur and amount. By using a brush, you get to keep the native color in certain areas. Before using the brush, you can adjust its size, softness and opacity.

What’s more, you can apply different color filters: grayscale, sepia or blue tone. ColorStrokes can also create vignette effects and you get to specify the amount: none, soft, creamy or hard light.

ColorStrokes comes with Aperture and iPhoto integration, but you may also quickly share the results with your friends via Email, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr.
