KOPLAYER For Mac

KOPLAYER is an Android emulator designed to help you play games developed for the mobile platform on your Mac. The utility replicates the mobile experience, while enabling you to play the games on a bigger screen.

The KOPLAYER user interface resembles that of any mobile device running on Android: you get the basic Back, Home, and Recent buttons, the screen area displays all the installed applications, while an additional toolbar provides quick access to the settings and to the emulator specific tools and configuration options.

By default, KOPLAYER comes only with an internet browser and the Play Store application installed, so to be able to download new content, you must provide your Google credentials.

Even though the KOPLAYER developers seem to focus mainly on games, you can choose to install any other application present in the Play Store.

However, not all of them might work on the emulator: during our tests, one of the hot games that should be supported, Candy Crush Saga, simply crashed with no explanation.

Still, if you manage to get the games running on the emulator, you can interact with them either by using your mouse or the keyboard. The drawback is that KOPLAYER is not very responsive, even though it does not take too many resources.

As a result, you might find yourself having to perform the same action multiple times, or having to close webpages or apps launched by mistake. Moreover, some of the tasks take quite a long time to load, at least the first time, so patience is a must.

KOPLAYER eliminates any storage limitations imposed by mobile devices and offers you the possibility to play games that need a lot of resources on your Mac. The application emulates the entire mobile platform, and allows you to install new games via the Play Store application.

The drawback is that KOPLAYER is either unresponsive, takes a long time to load various apps, or triggers different actions than the user expects, which might lead to numerous repetitive actions.
