Cube MetalHeart 2 - Combat Squared is an engaging fast-paced FPS (short for First-Person Shooter) game that will provide you with probably one of the best shooter experiences since the legendary Quake game.

First off, you should not be discouraged that this game doesn’t feature a campaign mode, as it more than makes up for this with its multiplayer and bot match types. Besides this, there isn’t much you could fault this game for, as it really ticks the right boxes that make a FPS great.

The game uses the Tesseract Engine which translates into smooth movements and very intuitive physics, although, it might take you a small amount of time before getting used to the fast-paced nature of the game.

This specific fast-paced gameplay is what makes the game incredibly addictive and enjoyable, and everything from jumping around, and shooting enemies will give you a satisfying gaming experience that will make you forget about everything else for hours and hours.

The atmosphere is masterfully intensified by the awesome Dubstep and D’n’B soundtrack done by the artist xKore. The graphics aren’t exactly top notch, but truth be told, they are more than appropriate for a fast-paced shooter game with old-school origins.

This is actually a very good thing, as you can play this game without any problems even on very old Macs with 125 MB and 256 MB video cards. Better still, because this game is cross-platform, chances are quite high that you will be able to play it with your friends, regardless of what operating systems they run.

The weapons come in a large variety and are nice enough to keep your entertained, and both the multiplayer and the bot match types feature lots of game modes, for everyone’s taste and style of play.

Probably the only thing we could nitpick about is the fact that Cube MetalHeart 2 - Combat Squared doesn’t feature a respawn shield and in some hardcore death matches, things could be a bit frustrating without it.

Cube MetalHeart 2 - Combat Squared embodies exactly what hardcore FPS fans like about this genre. With an addictive gameplay, lost of game modes, maps and weapons, as well as a perfectly suited soundtrack, this game is proof that the great classics of the genre can be easily challenged.
