Awakening: The Sunhook Spire is a classic hidden object game that should provide fans of the genre with plenty of entertainment, although it has to be said that it does not really stand out in any way.

As you would expect, most of your journey will consist of trying to find a series of objects that can help you progress to new areas and solve puzzles.

The hidden object scenes are fairly well designed and quite fun. Some items can only be picked up after certain actions are performed, so it is not simply a matter of spotting the right objects.

Also included are numerous mini-games that test your wit and offer plenty of variety. Some of them can be skipped if you cannot figure them out, so your should not worry about becoming stuck.

Awakening: The Sunhook Spire cannot be lauded for its graphics, as the environments are rather bland, and character animations are very basic.

The voice acting is also one of the game’s weaker aspects, although the soundtrack is quite pleasant and helps to create a calming atmosphere.

On the whole, Awakening: The Sunhook Spire should be an entertaining game, regardless of whether or not you have played the prequels.
