Learning a foreign language can be difficult, especially if you are learning on your own and you cannot hear how the words are pronounced. Thanks to iSpeak Translator you can now translate various pieces of text and hear the generated translation with just a few mouse clicks.

iSpeak Translator is a self-explanatory application specially designed to translate text snippets from one language into another and transform the result into speech. iSpeak Translator features a user-oriented interface from which you can quickly and easily translate between over 17 languages. What is more you can also save your translation in order to use it later.

iSpeak Translator main window is divided in two panels, the left panel helps you view all your saved translation, which can be grouped into different categories. The right panel is split into the “Source” and the “Target” panel. In the first panel you can write or paste your text and select the source language. From the second panel you can select the language into which you want to translate your text.

By using iSpeak Translator, you can translate between any of the following languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Arabic, Czech, Greek, Finnish, Japanese, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Russian and Portuguese. At the end of the translation process you just have to click on the “Speak it!” button in order to hear the translation.

The Preferences window helps you customize the Voice settings by adjusting the voice speed and output volume. It is worth mentioning that iSpeak Translator comes with only five pre-installed languages. As a result, you have to manually download the other languages after you buy, download and install iSpeak Translator via the Mac App Store.
