Pixie For Mac

Pixie is a cross-platform application that helps students put their creativity to the test by making engaging slideshows. Pixie is designed to be used in schools or at home by students who wish to express their ideas and imagination through text, images, video, audio or by drawing.

Pixie includes various tools for creating interactive presentations such as paint tools, text processor, clip art selectors, slideshow templates and more. Students can easily use Pixie to create projects for various purposes: storybooks, curriculum projects, homework assignments, etc.

At the core, Pixie encourages creativity, thinking as well as communication skills by providing a dynamic combination of flexible tools. The application is oriented to help students express themselves using a versatile canvas for digital learning.

Pixie's user interface consists of the main toolbar with shortcuts to the most commonly used actions, the canvas that contains the slides, and a pane for accessing the options, paint tools and the built-in library.

You can create countless slides and personalize each of them with the included tools. Pixie also supports full-screen mode for a more compelling display.

From the Options pane, you can choose an effect for the images you've added or use the flip and rotate actions. The Paint tools include a brush, pen, eraser, crayon, dry brush, etc. as well as options to change the size and color.

The Library includes a variety of background images (community, landscapes, space, etc.) and pictures from pics4learning that are diverse enough to be added to numerous creative presentations. The Library also comes with stickers, i.e. graphic icons.

Pixie's Preferences window allows you to change the language (English, French or Spanish), change the handle size, library view or customize the talking interface.

Your students can use the integrated flexible tools and combine them with artwork and media to express ideas and make memorable presentations with interactive content.
