Study Center is a straightforward note taking application specially made for students, journalists, researchers, writers and more.

Study Center features a simple and intuitive interface from which you can start writing your notes, add images, video and audio files, write mathematical equations using LaTeX and more. What is more, Study Center enables you to print and export your notes to PDF documents with just a few mouse clicks.

On top of that, Study Center provides a small collection of templates designed to help you start writing your articles, notes or letters. You can add and write as many notes as you want and edit their title according to the content. What is more, Study Center comes with a built-in search form that can help you find the desired note by simply typing in the title.

Study Center also provides numerous pre-defined text styles, customizable spacing settings and allows you to change the font, color and size of the text. Although Study Center offers support for LaTeX and allows you to write mathematical equations in your notes, you cannot edit them and, as a result, you have to re-write the entire equation if you need to make a change.

If you need a distraction free environment you can use the “Fullscreen” mode in order to take advantage of your Mac’s screen and avoid other distractions. Unfortunately, Study Center does not provide an Undo feature, a large inconvenience, especially for an application that promises to help you take notes quickly and effortlessly.

Another disadvantage is the limited functionally of the Search feature. You can perform note searches based only on the title you gave your notes. If you don’t remember the title of a note but you know text fragments from the note you cannot use them as keywords for your search.

Study Center is a user-oriented text editing application that promises to help you write and manage your notes quickly and easily but it fails to live up to its promise.
