SingleCrystal is an elegant and powerful tool for visualizing and understanding diffraction patterns from single crystals.

SingleCrystal is available in two versions. With the free, Demo Version, you can: · Simulate electron diffraction for any crystal. · Visualize sections of the reciprocal lattice. · Display stereographic projections, showing the orientations of lattice planes. · Rotate interactively or via menu commands. · Measure and index a pattern.

By purchasing a licence code, you can unlock the program and have access to additional features including: · Print high-resolution diffraction patterns. · Copy diffraction patterns and stereographic projections in PDF format. · Export diffraction data.

System requirements

You will need a recent version of CrystalMaker if you wish to simulate diffraction patterns from your own structures (the full version allows you to read from older file formats).

Limitations in the unregistered version

The full-feature version lets you:
Remove "Demo" version spoilers from startup, program window and any placed images.
Save your work in a self-contained "session file". Enable automatic preference recording.
Print, copy or export graphics (choice of vector or pixel formats).
Read from older file formats.
Auto-index observed patterns, with the Grid tool.
Export diffraction data and "Zones Axes" indexing files.
Show symmetry-related planes & vectors in the stereogram.
Receive free technical support (registered users only).

What's new in SingleCrystal 3.0.1:

Improved Pixel Graphics Output. Exporting high-resolution pixel graphics (e.g., PNG or TIFF) is now much faster and provides a faithful reproduction of the screen image. (Earlier versions used a vector graphics engine to prepare the output, which degraded the overall quality.)
Updated User's Guide. The User's Guide has been substantially revised in this release, incorporating new screen shots and extra tips on using the program efficiently.
Miscellaneous. This version includes minor changes to the way fonts are handled, plus occasional bug fixes:
