Git-it For Mac

Git-it is a straightforward macOS application designed to help users learn Git and GitHub by completing various challenges.

The utility provides extensive explanations on how to perform various tasks and work with command line, and also simplifies the access to extensive learning resources.

Within the Git-it main window, you can see a list with all challenges included in the Git-it workshop. Each challenge comes with a small description and takes you through all required steps. Moreover, the description page comes with tips that cover common issues encountered by new users.

At the same time, the Git-it pages come with a Verify button that enable the user to check through the app if the task has indeed been performed. Note that for some tasks, you need to direct Git-it to the directory that contains your repository, and so on.

To help you get around faster, Git-it incorporates a dictionary that includes bash commands that you will need to employ before installing Git, some that will help you configure Git, but also basic Git Terminal commands.

The Git-it Resources tab allows you to open in your default web browser interactive tutorials, guides, books, cheat sheets, the GitHub Desktop project and guide pages, and more.
