Flute Master is a fun, educational game designed to help children learn how to play soprano recorder in a less formal environment. The game sports 27 music tracks relevant for the learning process, and can be controlled by the recorder, with the help of your Mac’s built-in microphone.

Within the Flute Master universe, the player gets to enter the world of music accompanied by Oratio, a little pirate. Together you decide to help Cornelius the dragon to protect the strawberries stored in a tall tower from the greedy bats that want to eat them all.

You command the guidance of an old sage that shows you how to use your recorder to let Cornelius know which tower window is under attack. As a result, you must learn how to play the correct notes and give accurate instructions to Cornelius.

While playing the game, you get to see messages detailing this story, but also tips and tricks on how to play the correct note.

When you start playing the game, Flute Master automatically commences listening to your built-in microphone and uses the captured sounds to signal Cornelius. For Flute Master to be able to capture the sounds, it is advisable to keep the background noise at a minimal level.

Flute Master sports 27 different music tracks that take you through various notes and a finger positioning learning system. You have to practice until you manage to complete the level if you want to get to the next track.

Flute Master proposes a relaxed environment where you get to practice playing recorder while playing a game: each level comes with a music sheet that you must learn how to perform, and you get to practice more if you want to improve your score.
