Kingfisher For Mac

Kingfisher is a well-known and widely-used Swift library that allows your app to download and cache images from the web. It’s written entirely in Swift, and it is very easy to implement on macOS, iOS, tvOS, and watchOS. It supports SwiftUI and contains functionality for handling numerous image-related operations.

The library features asynchronous downloading and caching, and cache behavior can be customized to a great extent. Downloads can be cancelled, and content downloaded previously can be reused to maximize performance.

Extensions are available for UIImageView, NSImageView, NSButton, UIButton, NSTextAttachment, WKInterfaceImage, TVMonogramView, and CPListItem to allow setting images from URLs. Transition animations are included, as well as placeholders and indicators while images are loaded.

Advanced image processing is supported if you want to go beyond just downloading and displaying a file. For example, images can be downsampled, cropped, and blurred, colors can be adjusted, and corners can be rounded.

Each of the library’s components, namely the downloader, caching system, and images processors, are used separately, depending on your use case.
