BitNami DreamFactory Stack For Mac

The BitNami DreamFactory Stack is an automated software package that installs the DreamFactory cloud-based server on your machine. The stack includes all the necessary tools to run DreamFactory out-of-the-box.

In other words, BitNami DreamFactory Stack offers a wizard-like interface for deploying DreamFactory on your Mac. All you need to do is to click on the Next buttons until the stack is ready to be installed.

DreamFactory is a popular cloud-based platform that helps enterprise developers to build HTML5 or mobile applications. The benefit is that the management of the back-end infrastructure is done for you.

The setup wizard includes the following steps: selecting components (DreamFactory and PhpMyAdmin), choosing the installation folder, creating an admin account (which is mandatory for logging into the browser-based app) and choosing the Apache web server port. After the installation has finished, these components will be installed on your Mac: DreamFactory (browser-based cloud application), phpMyAdmin, MySQL, Apache and PHP.

Desktop utility called the “BitNami DreamFactory Stack” serves as a control panel for the installed web app. From the control panel, you can launch DreamFactory in your default browser, open phpMyAdmin, open the app folder or access the BitNami documentation.

Another thing you can do from the manager app is to start, stop, restart and configure the running servers. The servers are listed in the Manage Servers tab, and the configuration window lets you open the access log, error log or the conf file.

The BitNami DreamFactory Stack software package is great if you want to be able to use the DreamFactory platform even if you don't have the time or experience to manually deploy all the necessary dependencies.

The installer includes everything you need, deploys self-contained installations to a location of your choice, and allows you to configure everything through a graphical user interface.
