Everyone's trying to make coding more efficient, some going so far as to automate the whole process. We're far from that being feasible, but snippet managers and code expanders can make a huge difference.

TeaCode helps you by making it easier to type lines of code. It uses patterns and variables provided by the user to generate code, making it more powerful than a classic snippet manager that can only store specific blocks of text. It works with most code editors, either natively or via plugins.

With most snippet managers, you just have a library of code blocks that you add to your document and then edit accordingly. While you get to avoid typing a lot of the code, you often still have to go back and make modifications, reducing efficiency and limiting use cases.

TeaCode is different. You type a certain pattern, with variables and filters, and the app generates a line of code that doesn't need to be edited afterward. Once you get used to the patterns, or create some that best suit your workflow, you'll be able to code much faster.

Most code editors that have native macOS apps will work with TeaCode seamlessly. These include Xcode, TextMate, and Espresso.

However, most non-native editors and IDEs, such as Atom, Sublime, and Visual Studio Code, will need a plugin to support TeaCode. These can be installed quite easily, but they use a different hotkey for expanding patterns, which might get confusing.

Of course, it's going to take a while to learn all the expanders you want to use, especially if you keep adding new ones. Thankfully, you can use a Spotlight-like search tool to find what you're looking for. The hotkey is ⌘⇧Space by default, and it can be customized.

TeaCode is an app that can make a huge difference once you get used to it. You'll just have to spend some time setting up expanders and learning to use them efficiently. For commonly typed lines and blocks of code, it can save you a lot of time.
