Lifeboat For Mac

Lifeboat is a Mac and Windows app designed to help you deploy Xojo Web apps on a Linux server. It is intended to help developers save time by automating a good deal of the process and providing easy controls for maintaining and configuring web apps.

The latest versions of Ubuntu are supported, as well as Debian 9/10 and CentOS 7. You can use Lifeboat to deploy Xojo Web 1.0 and 2.0 applications, and the app also includes tools for static website management.

When connecting to a server, the app will automatically make the necessary configurations and install components required to run Xojo Web apps. Updates are also simplified, as the software's upload system can determine whether a file has been changed to avoid re-uploading.

Lifeboat allows you to simplify SSL certificate management. The process of retrieving, installing, and renewing certificates is automated, and they are all obtained for free courtesy of Let's Encrypt.

Once apps are installed, you can further optimize them by increasing the number of instances based on the expected load. Configuration files, port assignments, and system services are all handled automatically. Static files can be served from nginx so as to reduce the load on the web app.
