Open-source app that lets you send push notifications to APNS, with the ability to retrieve certificates from your keychain and save multiple requests. #Push Notification #Send Push #APNS App #APNS #Push #Notification
Swush is an open-source macOS app that lets you play around with Apple's Push Notification service. You can create multiple Push requests and save them for later use, as well as, of course, send them. The app can grab certificates from your keychain automatically, and it includes a search function for finding specific requests.
The app features a very simple, intuitive UI. Your push requests are listed in the sidebar, which can be hidden, and the search tool allows you to filter them. To create a new push request, simply click the + button at the top of the UI.
Swush can retrieve certificates from your Apple keychain automatically, so you can just select the right one from a drop-down list. Next, you need to enter your push token, select the topic and payload type, set the priority, and add the payload. Lastly, you can either save the push request or send it directly.
The app is tiny and efficient, created using SwiftUI. It offers a relatively small selection of features at present, but it's a great way to try out Apple's Push Notification service, either to test various requests or see how it all works.
