Swiftly-Clean is a tool designed to help Swift developers to clean up and apply Xcode custom standards to their projects with ease.
The Swiftly-Clean utility can download configuration files that feature the most popular rules used by other Swift developers on StackOverflow or that have completed the swiftcleanapp.com survey.
Within the Swiftly-Clean main application, you must select the Xcode project you want to clean up by using the Finder menu, or by simply dragging and dropping the .xcodeproj file on to of the app’s main window.
The next step is to select the configuration settings you want to apply: Swiftly-Clean can download predefined SwiftStyleSettings.plist files and place them in the Download directory by default, or you can choose to be directed to the swiftcleanapp.com survey page.
Once you respond to all of the 39 survey questions, you can download the configuration file that reflects your choices, or review the selections and compare them with the choices made by other devs that have taken the survey.
To use the custom rules, place the custom SwiftStyleSettings.plist file in the same folder as the .xcodeproj file you want to clean, and further customize the results by specifying the prefixes that are to be checked or excluded, or the file system folders that should be skipped.
Just press the Install Run Script button within the Swiftly-Clean application and all the necessary components will be put in place: just run the project in Xcode. Note that Swiftly-Clean comes with auto fixing capabilities, but not all rules are supported.
Swiftly-Clean offers you the possibility to decide which coding standards you want to employ when developing projects in Swift, or choose to implement the rules voted as most popular on StackOverflow or in the swiftcleanapp.com survey.
The Swiftly-Clean app can automatically apply some rules, and displays build errors whenever your project does not comply for the unsupported ones.
