RabbitMQ is an open-source messaging broker that provides applications with a common platform for sending and receiving messages, while storing data securely until it is delivered.

Setting up the server can be difficult, however, especially if you are not familiar with the command-line interface. However, the RabbitMQ.app utility can make this task a lot easier, as it enables you to deploy a server with a single mouse click.

Once you have downloaded RabbitMQ.app and moved it to your Application’s folder, things could not be simpler. You just need to launch the app and the server will be created automatically.

No additional software is required, as all the necessary RabbitMQ binaries are included in the downloaded package. The server’s status is displayed in your menu bar, along with the port it is running on.

After setting up the server, you can access the Management console from the app’s menulet, as well as open the logs directory.

The web UI is opened in your default browser, and you can log in by entering “guest” in both the username and password fields, as these are the initial credentials created when the server is built.
