PiBakery is a user-friendly utility that can be used to create custom boot images for Raspberry Pi single-board computers. The app allows you to write the setup file to an SD card that will have to be inserted into the Raspberry Pi device.
PiBakery comes with an installer package that deploys the utility and also offers you the possibility to install Raspbian Full and Raspbian Lite. The same intuitive and user-friendly manner is adopted for the app’s user interface.
In the PiBakery main window, you can browse the included configuration blocks organized by type: Startup, Programs, Network, Settings, Pi Zero OTG, and other. To use them in your setup files, just drag and drop them on top of the canvas area.
PiBakery can help you run tasks on first or every boot, includes blocks for installing and running a VNC server, for deploying custom packages, for working with Apache/PHP/MySQL, or for enabling the audio card.
You can include Wi-Fi configuration tasks, add files to be downloaded, set the default boot option, adjust the hostname and password, or use SSH keys for authentication.
The PiBakery blocks can also help you setup Pi Zero OTG parameters, to run commands or Python files as specific users, to delete files or directories, to reboot, or to shutdown the Raspberry Pi device.
To sum up, PiBakery brings to the table an intuitive workspace where you get to configure Raspberry Pi images with simple drag and drop actions.
Just combine the predefined blocks any way you like and export the configuration file to an SD card that has to eventually be inserted in the Raspberry Py device.
