Beautiful MongoDB desktop client that offers you the possibility to connect to multiple databases, execute various commands, and export the results #MongoDB client #MongoDB manager #MongoDB database #MongoDB #Client #Manager
Built on Electron and Angular JS, Mongotron is a MongoDB desktop client that offers you the possibility to connect to your databases, list the content, create collections, run various commands and export the results to your local drive.
The Mongotron user interface follows the OS X Human Interface Guidelines, which means that it will integrate beautifully on your desktop. Mongotron comes with three interface themes, suitable for different times of day (Default, Atom, or Isotope -UI).
The Mongotron main window is separated into multiple areas and enables you to quickly navigate between connections, databases, and collections. Note that Mongotron opens each panel in a separate tab that will remain active until manually closed by the user.
As a result, you get to quickly switch between various resources and queries and compare the content or result.
For your convenience, Mongotron also packs numerous keybindings that can be used to jump to the previous or next tab, to open a new tab, to run a query, or to autoformat the content
Mongotron comes with a connection manager where you can input details and the necessary credentials for connecting to a MongoDB database. Once connected to the Mongo server, Mongotron allows you to manage your databases and collections, and to list their content.
Within the Mongotron window, you can switch between the text and key value viewing modes, or execute commands. Mongotron provides support for Mongo 2.0 or later servers, but it does not work with SSL tunnels at the moment.
Mongotron proposes a beautiful environment for connecting to Mongo servers and managing databases. You get to execute commands and view the results in text or key value modes, and the results can be easily exported to local files.
Noteworthy is that Mongotron does not come with any documentation, yet the user interface is intuitive enough to not necessarily require a user manual.
What's new in Mongotron 1.0.0 Alpha 5:
- Bug Fixes:
- Moved the "Your search did not return any results." notification above the results, because its not always apparent that no results have been returned if you previously had results. (Because the previous set of results are still visible.) #141 Thanks to @buzzcloudau
- The 'No-results' message was not being displayed if the next query returned an empty result set. Now it show up. #142 Thanks to @buzzcloudau
- Expose Mongo's distinct method in the query editor. #138 Thanks to @AndrewBarba
