GitPie For Mac

GitPie is a simple yet very efficient Git client that can handle repositories hosted on various services, such as GitHub, BitBucket, and others. The utility is able to detect your local Git configuration and allows you to specify the merge tool you want to use.

Right off the bat, GitPie prompts you to add new repositories to its main window: you can direct the app to your Git storage folder, clone online repositories, or start a new project from scratch.

Note that, when cloning repositories, you must drag and drop the link in the appropriate field (the paste function does not seem to work). The download process will start almost instantly, and you will also be able to sync the changes to the online host.

GitPie keeps your repositories organized depending on the remote host, but you can also make use of the built-in search tool to find a particular project.

Within the GitPie user interface, you get to perform most tasks related to handling Git repositories, going from setting up new branches, to navigating the project's history and analyzing all the changes.

You get to review all the files included in the project’s resources, and quickly commit changes: GitPie will detect the unsynchronized changes, and you will get the option to set a name and a small description for the modification.

Of course, GitPie allows you to select the files you want to include in the commit, so you have full control over the development process.

The built-in contextual menu offers you the possibility to open the respective files in a Finder window, so you can easily review the content of each file.

To sum up, GitPie offers you the possibility to manage the development process of your projects with ease, regardless of the remote hosting service you have opted for: GitHub, BitBucket, or any other.

GitPie comes with support for most tasks related to repository management, committing changes, or publishing projects.
