This means that, once you have edited and ran the code from the Console, you will be able to preview your output and visually inspect it in the built-in Preview panel. Of course, sometimes, with certain functions, Foobar will display the output in both the Console and the Preview areas.

Probably the best thing about Foobar is the fact that it comes with support for almost all programming languages, namely Apple Script, Bash, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Swift, Processing, Obj-C, Markdown, CoffeeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery just to name a few.

In terms of customizability, Foobar comes with a large set of themes that can be changed from its Preferences menu. Besides the usage of themes, you can also change the console colors directly by clicking the “Console background color” color picker.

Another plus is the fact that, from the same Preferences menu, you can enable Foobar to show the editor line numbers and tweak the editor’s code folding options.
