Editra is a free, open source and cross-platform text editor that provides an intuitive an easy to use interface and features that aid in code development.
At the moment, Editra supports syntax highlighting and variety of other useful features for over 60 programming languages.
Editra is tested and verified to work on the following systems: Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel), Windows XP, Gentoo Linux. However Editra should run on any system that supports Python 2.4+ and wxPython 2.8.
Binaries for the Windows and Linux platforms are available on the project's homepage.
Note: Editra is freely available for use under the terms of the wxWindows License.
