InDesign documents often need to be processed using a similar set of parameters, and it doesn’t make sense to configure these every time you output one of these files.

Output Factory Server is an automation tool specifically designed for workgroups. It can be used by any number of users on a network and processes files automatically as they are added to monitored hot folders. It also comes equipped with LinkOptimizer Server for additional processing capabilities in terms of optimizing content.

You can create workflows for various types of jobs, each being assigned to a hot folder that users can transfer files to. Once one or more documents are detected, they will be processed according to the preferences set up for that particular workflow.

Output Factory Server includes a full version of LinkOptimizer Server. This utility allows you to reduce link size, optimize image resolution, convert colors and formats, and more.

There are numerous output settings you can configure to ensure exported documents are ready to go. These include setting up variable file names, based on various file attributes, layer versioning, error checking, dynamic output locations, and the ability to create and run custom scripts to extend automation even further.
