Instantane helps you bring memorable photos closer to you by making printable collages that can be posted anywhere you like.

The Instantane utility comes with predefined layout templates, enables you to change the photomontage’s orientation or size, and exports the output using the popular JPG file format.

As far as the image library is concerned, Instantane comes with browsing capabilities within its user interface. You get to quickly add all the photos included in a particular folder by merely pointing out the directory.

Instantane offers you the possibility to see the file’s name together with a small thumbnail, and you get to add them to your collage with a simple drag and drop. Note that Instantane will keep track of recently used images for your convenience.

The Instantane application will work with JPG images and uses the same file format for the output. However, via the Preferences, you get to adjust the Dots Per Inch (DPI) resolution to match your printer’s performance.

Worth mentioning is that Instantane does not provide support for creating custom arrangements for your collages, but it does feature an extensive collection of templates. The utility offers you the possibility to use up to 9 different photos for the same project.

Instantane allows you to change the collage’s orientation (landscape or portrait), and adjust the divider’s width, rounding and color. Instantane also sports default presets for the output size, but it can also work with custom dimensions.
