unRarX For Mac

unRarX is a lightweight and user-friendly macOS application that you can use to extract RAR archives to a location of your choice.

unRarX features a simple and clean interface with a minimalistic interface that makes it easy for you to decompress multiple RAR archives with just a couple of mouse clicks.

You just have to uncompress the ZIP archive, copy unRarX to your Applications folder, launch the app and drag your archives onto its main window.

Once dropped, unRarX automatically decompresses your archives to a user-definable location, that can be provided via the “Extract to” drop down menu.

The top toolbar helps you browse your hard disk for the archives you want to extract, test the files for errors and decompress the containing items.

What is more, unRarX uses the par2 command line application in order to recover corrupted or missing RAR archives for you. Thus, you can drag and drop your par or par2 files onto unRarX’s main window and let unRarX do the hard work for you.

UnRarX enables you to access and unarchive password protected RAR files with ease. To successfully extract an encrypted archive, you first have to provide the password via the Password slide sheet, drag the archive and click on the “Extract” button, unRarX will take care of the rest.

Since unRarX is not using the latest UNRAR decompression engine, we modified the application in order to take advantage of the decompression algorithm that comes with UNRAR 5.10. You can freely and easily download the improved version of unRarX from our website.
