eTuner For Mac

eTuner is a powerful and user-friendly application capable to determine and display musical pitch information as your sing a note or play an instrument. eTuner comes with support for various brass, string and wind instruments as well as other instruments that generate a sustained tone.

What is more, eTuner can be used to check intonation throughout a song and even for scale studies as you play your favorite instrument or sing a song.

eTuner is designed to display the name along with the note of the detected pitch and the amount of variance between the detected pitch and the displayed note with respect to the next lower or higher pitch. eTuner also helps you view if the captured pitch is High, Low or OK according to the note name that is currently displayed.

Although the interface leaves room for improvements, you can easily recognize and interpret the displayed note anywhere within your field of vision. eTuner enables you to focus mainly on the music stand as you interpret the peripheral vision cues.

eTuner is able to display all twelve pitches in an octave and allows you to decide which note names to be displayed when pitches of the chosen key are identified. While in a minor key you can view note names for the harmonic and melodic ascending and descending scales.

Moreover, eTuner can display the frequency and octave number along with the note name for C, B♭, E♭, A, D, G, and F instruments. On top of that, you can view the current input device, channel, sample rate and sound level. You can even control the input volume and change from the built-in microphone to an external audio device via the Input Device menu.
