WavTap is a free and open-source application that will allow you to create quick audio screenshots from whatever your Mac is playing
The ^⌘Space hotkey will allow you to start / stop recording.
To start recording, first open Audio Midi Setup, right-click on WavTap, select "use this device for sound output".
Then, open WavTap, click on its icon in the menu bar, make sure "Built-in Output" is checked.
A .wav file will be created on your desktop.
Note: WavTap is still in Alpha phase, so don't expect it to work perfectly.
