Songivity Songwriter is a Mac OS X application that provides support for making songs from the ground up. The app enables lyricists or just singer-songwriters to easily capture ideas for a song and transpose them into a well-organized user interface.

In essence, Songivity Songwriter allows you to enter 5 types of data: songs, lyrics, music parts, journals and collections. The main window is divided into 4 distinct tabs for accessing the item properties, list of items, inbox contents and the recordings.

Getting started with Songivity Songwriter is not so difficult, especially considering that the app provides a Library setup panel. You start by selecting the theme color, inbox location, artist name, library location and production folder.

When the setup is out of the way, you can start creating songs. Some important features in this regard include collecting lyrics, recording yourself, as well as tagging and organizing information.

When you want to enter new lyrics for a song, just access the list pane and type your lyrics. You also have a variety of options at your disposal, such as rating the song, entering a date, attachments, a duration and more.

As mentioned before, you are able to store media files, including PDFs, videos and recordings that help you in future mixes. Moreover, 3 different user interface themes and 6 window colors are available.
